Chicago Med season 6, episode 9 photos: For the Want of a Nail
There will be no shortage of emotional scenes in tomorrow’s Chicago Med, at least when you look at the promotional images NBC has released for this week’s episode.
Wednesday’s installment “For Want of a Nail” involves Dr. Natalie Manning (Torrey DeVitto) and Dr. Crockett Marcel (Dominic Rains) having their relationship exposed, forcing them to decide whether or not they want to declare it to the hospital’s Human Resources department. The two of them certainly look happy in the provided photos.
The episode also includes the return of Dr. Dean Archer (recurring guest star Steven Weber). Fans know from the promo that he’s the person who reports Crockett and Natalie to Dr. Ethan Choi (Brian Tee), so Archer’s already rubbing people the wrong way. Maybe he’ll become the new Dr. Lanik, even though Lanik is still around.

Chicago Med season 6, episode 9 photos
Below are all of the photos that NBC has made available for the upcoming episode. While a fair amount of them focus on Crockett and Natalie, there are plenty of other characters as well.
One image that’s a little concerning shows Dr. Will Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss) comforting an upset April Sexton (Yaya DaCosta). What is April distraught over? The most obvious idea is that it has to do with one of the patients in their clinical trial, given how close April tends to get to the patients she treats, but that’s not something the synopsis even mentions.
We can see that Will and April’s storyline also involves Dr. Daniel Charles (Oliver Platt), since he’s in one photo with April and another with both of them. Maybe their story is the case of the week while the Crockett and Natalie plot is going on?
Tune in tomorrow and find out, but leave any early predictions you might have about the episode based on these photos in the comments.
