Chicago PD season 8, episode 9 photos: Impossible Dream

The one thing we know about this week’s Chicago PD is that it’s going to be very cold, as evidenced by NBC‘s promotional photos for the latest episode.

Wednesday’s installment is titled “Impossible Dream,” and the images that have been released don’t give very much information about what’s going to happen in it. In fact, several of them look like they’re from the same sequence, with the Intelligence Unit chasing suspects—which happens in just about every episode.

The photos do prove that we’ll see more of Nicole Ari Parker as Deputy Superintendent Samantha Miller, who’s once again seen with Hank Voight (Jason Beghe). Miller was already mentioned in the episode’s synopsis, as she’ll be asking Voight to do her a favor.

But other than the dismal weather conditions, none of these images say much about the plot.

Chicago PD season 8, episode 9 photos

One fact that’s interesting is that while the synopsis made it sound like “Impossible Dream” was centered on Kevin Atwater (LaRoyce Hawkins), and the promo was focused on Andre Cooper (new series regular Cleveland Berto), neither are featured in the photos.

Atwater is in four of the 12 images—that’s only one-third—which is less than you’d think for the character who’s supposed to be the focus of the story. Cooper, meanwhile, is totally absent.

This is likely due to the fact that so many of the photos seem to come from the same part of the episode, but it still would’ve been cool to see more of what Atwater and Cooper are getting up to in what’s supposed to be a major episode for them both.
