Chicago PD season 8, episode 10 synopsis and promo: The Radical Truth

Adam Ruzek fans won’t want to miss Chicago PD this week as NBC‘s official information has revealed it’s a Ruzek-centric episode, and a family affair at that.

Wednesday’s installment “The Radical Truth” brings back Jack Coleman (Heroes, Castle) as Bob Ruzek, Adam’s (Patrick John Flueger) troublesome dad. It’s Coleman’s first appearance in a few seasons but at first glance, it doesn’t seem like much has changed for Bob—he again is giving his son problems.

This time, Ruzek has to rescue his father with the help of his Intelligence Unit teammates. When last we saw Bob (in the season 6 episode “Fathers and Sons”), he was in some financial trouble and that was why he was moonlighting. So has he continued to get even further in over his head and that debt has caught up to him? Or is he in some other kind of predicament?

It’ll be interesting to see if this also becomes a Burzek episode. We haven’t seen much of that since Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati) became a foster parent and Ruzek didn’t seem convinced about that decision. We don’t even have a clear indication of where their relationship is now, but it’s hard to imagine that Burgess wouldn’t be there in this desperate time for Adam. Could they end up having a big moment here, too?

"Ruzek’s father Bob goes missing and the team races to find him before it’s too late."

Here’s the promotional ad that NBC released for “The Radical Truth,” which basically shows Ruzek in full Liam Neeson in Taken mode, looking for his father. The biggest takeaway is that we actually get to see the predicament his dad is in.
