Chicago Med’s Steven Weber stars in Antisocial Distance web series
Steven Weber is making serious waves on Chicago Med, but showing off his comedy chops in Antisocial Distance.
Antisocial Distance stars Avital Ash as Josephine, who has possibly the eight most hectic days in her life while in lockdown during Passover of 2020. It’s a charming series that also finds humor in a number of poignant topics, and One Chicago fans will be won over by its heart.
Steven, who’s currently in the middle of an arc as Dr. Dean Archer on Chicago Med, plays the role of John; you can check out one of his episodes at the bottom of the article.

He starred in the classic sitcom Wings for NBC from 1990 to 1997, and his other sitcom credits include The Weber Show, Web Therapy, Psych, 2 Broke Girls, Will & Grace and Mom, to name just a few. He’s a very funny guy—something we’re not liable to see as Dr. Archer seems to have made a side job of causing conflict with other people around the hospital.
Antisocial Distance comes from the brilliant mind of Avital Ash, who aside from starring in the series is also the creator, director, editor and executive producer. She’s put together a great show that works perfectly within the digital format, rather than the many comedies we’ve seen over the last year that have been shoehorned to fit a pandemic reality.
And if you’re looking for an escape from the pandemic and everything else the world is throwing at us, it’s perfect for that, too; that might set up the premise, but there’s a lot more to the story.
The show has an incredible cast of performers and if you need one more reason to check it out, Antisocial Distance also boasts a lineup of adorable pets, too. Who doesn’t want to see cute dogs and cats, and great comedians? One Chicago fans should jump onboard after this week’s new Med episode and support this series that’s the best example of what a web series should be.
