Chicago Fire season 9, episode 13 synopsis and promo: Don’t Hang Up
There’s even more coming Stella Kidd’s way in the next Chicago Fire episode, according to all of the materials that NBC has made available ahead of the show’s return on Wednesday.
This week’s installment is entitled “Don’t Hang Up,” in reference to a random phone call that Stella (Miranda Rae Mayo) receives at Firehouse 51. A scared young woman is on the line and wants her help, but Stella doesn’t know who she is or what’s going on. Will she be able to identify and locate the girl in time to save her from this mystery predicament?
It’s been a busy season for Stella, who has been training for a possible promotion throughout most of this Chicago Fire season. Not only has she been working to potentially make Lieutenant, she’s met a Deputy Fire Commissioner and of course saved several lives. Now she’s about to set off on another adventure in the upcoming episode.

The official synopsis that the network has released from this episode is once again on the shorter side. It describes Stella’s story and a subplot involving Joe Cruz (Joe Minoso), but those two are the only two characters mentioned by name.
"A mysterious caller who is in danger relies on Kidd to help save her and her brother. The firehouse helps Cruz get ready for fatherhood."
