Chicago Fire season 9, episode 14 synopsis and promo: What Comes Next

Who’s ready for another Casey and Severide team-up? That’s the heart of the next Chicago Fire episode, according to the official information that NBC has made available for this week.

“What Comes Next” involves Matthew Casey (Jesse Spencer) and Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) looking into another suspicious fire, this time at a factory. We’re not that far removed from seeing them investigate a suspicious chain of laundromat fires, so One Chicago fans might feel a little bit of deja vu.

However, they do seem to have a knack for getting to the bottom of things, and it’ll be good to see Casey tackle a major case after spending a few episodes worrying about his health and whether or not he’d have to quit being a firefighter.

Hopefully there won’t be anything hinky with the pet food the way there was with the detergent in the laundromat plotline, because nobody wants to think about anything bad happening to animals. (Speaking of, where’s Tuesday when you need her? This would be a perfect excuse for a cameo.)

"A fire breaks out at a pet food factory and Casey and Severide help the owner Pete get to the bottom of it. The annual garage sale takes place at 51 and everyone is on edge."
