The Chicago Fire season finale details are here, and as usual, what NBC is telling One Chicago fans is hyping up a massive conclusion to the season.

Regular viewers know that Fire in particular likes to do gigantic finales, usually with at least one character in a life-threatening or life-altering situation, and it seems like business as usual when this episode is titled “No Survivors.”

According to NBC there’s “some exciting news” for Firehouse 51 to react to, which is almost certainly the Stellaride engagement that happened near the end of last week’s episode.

But fans of that couple shouldn’t get too happy, as there might also be bad news coming based on the official synopsis for the episode, which promises something ominous for Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney). The show wouldn’t try to kill him again, would it? On the other hand, having his fate up in the air right after his engagement would be one heck of a cliffhanger…

Here’s the official synopsis for this episode released by the network. It gives just enough detail about the plotlines to have fans guessing (has the phrase “mysterious stranger” ever been used on a TV show in a good way?) but no major information.

"The firehouse reacts to some exciting news, a mysterious stranger arrives and a shocking call takes Severide’s breath away."

Watch the promotional spot related to this episode below. The ad wants viewers to imply that at least one person is leaving Firehouse 51, particularly Boden, but take this with a grain of salt since promos are often edited differently than what actually happens in the episode.
