The Chicago PD season finale is this week and NBC has released the first details about what One Chicago fans can expect from the conclusion to season 8.

“The Other Side” is the second part of a story that began in last Wednesday’s episode (if you missed it or need a refresher, you can catch up here). Intelligence is chasing down a pair of human traffickers, while Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati) has been abducted by the bad guys after being knocked out at the end of the prior episode.

Naturally, that means tensions are running high within the unit, particularly for Adam Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger), who’s not only still in love with Burgess but was just named guardian for her adopted daughter Makayla. Maybe One Chicago fans will finally get the big Burzek moment where they officially get back together?

And will this be the episode that puts Intelligence’s reform to the test? The whole season has been about doing things differently, but when one of their own is involved, will they go back to their “by any means necessary” approach?

Here’s the official synopsis for this episode released by the network. Being that this episode is part two of a two-part plot, the details here are pretty much what fans already know from the first part.

"Voight and the team muster all their expertise to bring down a deadly crime ring. Burgess finds herself in a dangerous situation."

Watch the promotional spot related to this episode below. Obviously, it’s centered on the team’s search for Burgess, and it doesn’t give away any major clues about her fate, though there is the expected shot of her looking terrified. There’s some Ruzek angst, too, with Upton reassuring him that they’ll find Kim (which might be just a little awkward, since Upton and Ruzek are exes).
