One Chicago ratings report: Chicago Fire, Med and PD finales give NBC an easy win

The One Chicago dramas officially wrapped their latest seasons on Wednesday, May 26 and the finales seemed to have helped NBC to net yet another major win over its broadcast competitors for the night!

Although the finales were down a tad from 2020, the Chicago Med season 6Chicago Fire season 9, and Chicago PD season 8 finales each managed to claim the top spot during their broadcast windows for the night. Additionally, the One Chicago dramas managed to claim the Top 3 spots of the night in total viewers when looking at the key demographic of adults 18-49.

Overall, it was Chicago Fire that managed to take the top spot overall with Wednesday’s biggest audience followed closely behind by Chicago Med and Chicago PD, who respectively finished the night in the No. 2 and 3 spots.

Chicago Med season 6 finale ratings

The Chicago Med season 6 finale was watched by 7 million total viewers with a 0.8 demo rating. Med‘s finale managed to win the 8 p.m. timeslot, with the episode drawing in more viewers than the season premiere of Press Your Luck, the season finale of The Masked Singer and new episodes of Kids Say the Darndest Things and Kung Fu.

Chicago Fire season 9 finale ratings

The Chicago Fire season 9 finale was watched by 7.03 million total viewers with a 0.8 demo rating. Fire‘s season 9 finale ranked as the most-watched program of Wednesday night, with the series also managing to outperform the season premieres of Crime Scene Kitchen and The $100,000 Pyramid, the season finale of SEAL Team and a new episode of Nancy Drew.

Chicago PD season 8 finale ratings

The Chicago PD season 8 finale was watched by 6.2 million total viewers with a 0.8 demo rating. PD‘s finale managed to win the 10 p.m. timeslot, with the episode drawing in more viewers than the SWAT season finale and a new episode of A MIllion Little Things.
