When does Chicago Fire return?

Chicago Fire season 9 has officially come to an end and what an incredible season it was! Although the pandemic threw a few curveballs the show’s way in terms of a delayed start to the season and a shorter episode count than we’re used to, the writers managed to deliver another stunning season filled with everything we could have asked for and more.
From exciting developments in the relationships of our favorite ships to another season full of incredible and harrowing rescues, season 9 had something for every fan. While season 9 has come to an end, the good news is the future continues to look bright for NBC’s entire One Chicago franchise!
Will there be another season of Chicago Fire?
Every time a season ends, the burning question on the mind of fans is whether the show has been renewed or canceled. While this season did bring with it the end of several beloved shows including a handful of NBC series, fans can rest at ease in knowing Chicago Fire has not been canceled and will be coming back for another season!

In a standout move, NBC gave its One Chicago franchise a major vote of confidence in 2020 when it renewed Chicago PD, Med and Fire for three additional seasons. For Fire, this renewal included season 9 which just completed, season 10 which will be coming this fall and season 11 which will arrive during the 2022-23 season.
When does Chicago Fire return for season 10?
While an official release date is not expected to be announced by NBC until later this summer, history would suggest Chicago Fire season 10 will be coming sometime in late September.
Aside from 2020, which was unique for a number of reasons, the newest seasons of Fire have typically arrived in the last week of September. Should NBC continue this schedule trend this fall, Chicago Fire season 10 is likely to debut Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2021.
