After years of waiting, Chicago Fire has finally landed a syndication deal—and it starts next week.

ION Television has announced that it will start airing repeats of Chicago Fire on Tuesdays, starting with this coming Tuesday, June 15. One Chicago fans will get a marathon of reruns each week that begins at 11:00 a.m. ET/8:00 a.m. PT and continues throughout the day.

If you don’t know where to find ION, you can use the channel locator on their website.

More from Chicago Fire

The arrangement is similar to ones that the cable channel already has for Chicago PD and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, both longtime staples of their lineup.

But it’s unique because it’s the first time Fire has been sold to another network—a huge financial plus for NBCUniversal and something that’s years overdue.

ION originally syndicated Chicago PD back in 2018—three years ago. Reruns of the cop drama now air on multiple channels, also including Oxygen and MyNetworkTV.

That makes the show even more valuable to NBCUniversal because it makes additional money from allowing other networks to run repeats. Even though Fire has already been renewed for two more seasons, having that additional revenue stream is a nice bonus for the show in the future.

It also helps fans, because now they can watch reruns for free on their local ION station if they don’t want to subscribe to Peacock and stream on demand.

The syndication agreement covers every episode that’s aired so far (seasons 1-9) and leaves Chicago Med as the only One Chicago series that doesn’t have a bonus deal in place.
