Chicago PD season 3 was the season where Jay Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) got abducted—for the first time anyway—while Trudy Platt (Amy Morton) got engaged and we all got to see the first full One Chicago crossover event.

Plus, this season also introduced us to Chicago Justice, because it was on PD that the writers set up the backdoor pilot featuring the characters who’d go on to that show. And, if you wanted even more, don’t forget that there was a Law & Order: SVU crossover in this season, too!

Don’t remember some of these things? Want to go back and revisit them? Or maybe you’re a newer fan and haven’t gotten to this part of canon yet. There are lots of reasons why you could do a third-season rewatch.

But if you want to watch season 3 episodes online, here’s whether or not you can do so on Netflix.

Is Chicago PD season 3 on Netflix?

No, the third season is not currently available on Netflix, because Netflix doesn’t have the rights to stream this season. It’s also unlikely that they’re going to get those rights in the future, since NBCUniversal now has its own streaming platform to host the One Chicago shows on (more on that below).

Where to watch Chicago PD season 3

Here’s where things get fun—there are a lot of options to watch Chicago PD season 3 episodes, depending on if you prefer streaming or on TV, free or paid.

The simplest route is to look for one of the many networks that are airing reruns of the show for free. They include ION, MyNetworkTV, and NBC’s sister channel Oxygen; if you don’t know where those channels are in your area, each network has a website with a channel locator. The caveat is they run more than just season 3, so they might not have what you’re looking for right now.

Streaming-wise, Peacock is the new home of Chicago PD. You’ll need to purchase a subscription to their Premium tier in order to access this season, but the bonus of that is that you can then watch all of the seasons of all three shows (if you’re so inclined).

If you’re willing to spend some money, you can purchase specific episodes or the full season on your preferred digital platform (iTunes, Amazon Video, YouTube). Or you can still get this season on DVD at any major retailer, too.
