When FBI: Most Wanted season 3 debuts this fall on CBS, it will do so without one of its original cast members.

Actor Nathaniel Arcand, who originated the role of Special Agent Clinton Skye in the backdoor pilot for the CBS spin-off, has exited the show and will not be returning for the show’s upcoming third season.

Although disappointing, his exit is seemed to be alluded to in the show’s second season when the character was written off-screen by going on a “special assignment.” His last on-screen appearance came in season 2, episode 3, “Deconflict,” with the character only appearing in the first three episodes of the season.

Why did Nathaniel Arcand leave FBI: Most Wanted

It is unclear why exactly Nathaniel Arcand exited, but it seems the decision was made for personal reasons and was made by Arcand directly. In confirming his departure, Arcand took to Instagram where he released the following statement addressing his exit, “Moving On. Moving Forward. Don’t Look Back. Must Say Bye. Bye.”
