Chicago PD’s Sophia Bush announces engagement: ‘My heart. It bursts.’

Congratulations are in order for Sophia Bush as wedding bells will soon be ringing for the former Chicago PD actress!

“So it turns out that being your favorite person’s favorite person is the actual best feeling on planet Earth,” Bush wrote on Instagram in sharing a stunning photograph of the moment in which her now fiancé Grant Hughes got down on one knee to pop the question.

The couple recently made their way to Italy for what appears to be their first major destination vacation as a couple and what better place than the picturesque Lake Como, known for its dramatic scenery and breathtaking surroundings.

“My heart. It bursts,” a surprised and overjoyed Bush added. She would later follow up the initial announcement post with a series of additional photos including one solo shot snapped during a day out in Puglia, Italy in which the former Chicago PD actress confessed, “Turns out this whole ‘being engaged’ thing is really, really fun.”

Who is Sophia Bush engaged to?

Sophia Bush is currently engaged to entrepreneur Grant Hughes. The pair began first seeing one another in early 2020, first being photographed together in May of that year out enjoying a walk through Malibu.

As mentioned above, Hughes is an entrepreneur who has co-founded several organizations and groups including FocusMotion Health, which “creates data-driven orthopedic recovery solutions” for surgery patients. In addition to co-founding FocusMotion Health, Hughes is also the co-founder of the Venice Book Club.

It also appears that Hughes is a big fan of traveling, as evident by his social media activity, so it seems only fitting that he chose Italy as the backdrop for his magical proposal to Bush!
