Brian Tee is about to add another major acting credit to his resume. The Chicago Med star is set to star opposite Oscar-winner Nicole Kidman in the new Amazon Prime Video series Expats, based on Janice Y.K. Lee’s novel The Expatriates.

As reported by DeadlineExpats is the story of an international community whose lives are bound together forever after a sudden family tragedy. In the series, Tee is set to star as Clarke, a devoted husband and father, “who has no desire to exchange his expat lifestyle for American suburbia, until his world is upended and he is faced with an impossible choice.”

It’s an exciting new role and as One Chicago fans have seen firsthand, Tee is an incredible talent who brings so much to each role he plays. The series definitely will give him the chance to stretch his acting talents in yet another unique role and is one that One Chicago fans should watch for.

That said, Tee’s casting in the project does create a variety of questions primarily in regards to what it will mean for his future with NBC’s long-running medical drama.

Is Brian Tee leaving Chicago Med?

With Brian Tee joining the cast of Amazon Prime Video’s Expats in what is being served as a lead role, it’s understandable for fans to question whether Tee is looking to walk away from Chicago Med to pursue this new role. However, we can assure fans Tee is not leaving Chicago Med and will be returning as Dr. Ethan Choi in the show’s upcoming seventh season.
