It seems fans can expect a few blasts from the past in the Chicago Fire 200th episode, which has been said to bring back a few familiar faces from the show’s early seasons.

In a new interview with ET OnlineChicago Fire showrunner Derek Haas opened up about the plans for the upcoming milestone episode of NBC’s original One Chicago series. While we’ve always anticipated the episode would be a big one for the show and Haas has even teased it as being “one to remember,” it seems the creative team is looking to go bigger than we anticipated.

According to Haas, the show’s 200th episode is going to feature the returns of multiple characters from the show’s early seasons, many of which we haven’t seen since their initial departures. As he teased, “We have characters coming back that you haven’t seen since the early days of the show in this season and we’ll continue to do that.”

While he didn’t spill the beans on the identities of any of the characters set to return, he did seem to hint that these returns will be rewarding to longtime fans and that the writers have also been mindful to find ways to bring these characters back so that newer fans can also enjoy their returns.

Who is returning for the Chicago Fire 200th episode?

At this time, NBC has not yet confirmed who will be coming back for the 200th episode of Chicago Firehowever, given the teases from the show’s showrunner, we’re anticipating the episode will feature a handful of special appearances.

Considering it’s been teased the Stellaride wedding won’t be happening in the 200th episode, it is going to be interesting to see if what exactly brings these familiar faces back to Chicago and how exactly their returns will factor into the episode’s storyline.
