We knew someone was returning to the series during the second episode. It’s likely that nobody called who it would be. I certainly didn’t!

Griffin returned, and Casey didn’t even recognize him. That’s okay; different actor and all that…

Now it’s time to find out why Griffin is back. This is more than just a social call. Clearly something has happened to his mom and brother, and Griffin needs Casey’s help with the situation.

Cruz continues to struggle on Chicago Fire season 10, episode 3

Meanwhile, we continue to see Cruz struggle with his PTSD. The show is doing an excellent job at this so far. It was something I needed to see considering how well the show would handle physical injuries.

Stella and Severide know that something isn’t quite right with Cruz. They just can’t help if he won’t talk to them about it. Right now, Cruz wants to pretend that there’s nothing wrong, but it’s okay to struggle mentally after a near-death experience. Of course he’s going to struggle until he gets help for the trauma he faced.

Chicago Fire season 10, episode 3 could see him forced to face his fears. When he panics while in a storm drain saving someone, Severide decides he needs to relieve Cruz of his duties. If he doesn’t get help fast, he’s going to lose the job he loves the most. Maybe Chloe could turn up to talk to Severide about what’s really going on.

As for the side story, it’s all about Ritter, Gallo, and Violet’s microbrewing business. Will Ritter feel like the third wheel?
