Chicago Fire season 10 spoilers: Is someone leaving Chicago Fire?
Chicago Fire is rapidly approaching its monumental 200th episode. It’s landmark moment for the show and all of the various characters we’ve come to know and love over the years. At the same time, the 200th episode promises some major developments in the lives of the Firehouse 51 squad.
Showrunner Derek Haas told Entertainment Tonight that the episode will be jam-packed with drama and surprises for longtime fans. “There are going to be huge life-changing and show-changing surprises coming in that 200th episode”, he revealed. “There are some huge things going on.”
While we don’t yet know what those surprises could be, there are some hints to suggest that it could mean the departure of main characters. Here’s a dossier on what’s happened in season 10 thus far and who seems most likely to leave.
Who is leaving Chicago Fire season 10?
The most obvious candidate to leave Firehouse 51 is Casey (Jesse Spencer). The character has been dealt some eye-opening news in the last few episodes, largely due to the return of Griffin Darden (Cameron Scott Roberts). Casey definitely feels a responsibility to the sons of his late pal Andy (Corey Sorenson).
Casey went as far as to discuss his plans with Herrmann (David Eigenberg). He vented about his confusion over what to do, but he ultimately arrived at a decision: leave Chicago to foster parent the Darden brothers. Herrmann was saddened by the epiphany, but he supported Casey’s decision to uproot his life.
Casey’s departure would mean a drastic shift within the dynamics of Chicago Fire. He’s been a focal point since the show’s inception, and his banter with Severide (Taylor Kinney) has been the backbone of the show. Him leaving would greatly affect Severide and rest of the firehouse. Then there’s Brett (Kara Killmer), who’s already starting to feel slighted in favor of the Darden family.

There have been other characters who have seem poised to leave the show, like Cruz (Joe Minoso), who was struggling with the trauma of a near-death experience, or Herrmann, who was dealt a career-damaging citation, but these minor subplots have already been resolved.
Casey is the primary candidate. It’s likely that his dilemma will be the focus of the 200th episode, and if any one character is going to leave, it’s going to be him.
