Last week on Chicago Fire, the DNA of 51 was forever changed when Casey (Jesse Spencer) decided to follow his heart in leaving Chicago behind to move to Oregon so that he could foster the Darden brothers.

Needless to say, it was an emotional episode filled with heartfelt moments between Casey his 51 family with the episode serving as Jesse Spencer’s swan song.

While Casey’s departure was the night’s big story, the 200th episode also featured some other major moments including the birth of Cruz’s (Joe Minoso) son, whom he named after Otis (Yuriy Sardarov), and the teased return of Chief Boden (Eamonn Walker) to 51.

Wondering what’s next for the men and women of 51 this Wednesday night? Below we share the latest promotional materials for season 10 including the promo, synopsis, and photos for episode 6, “Dead Zone.”

So what’s next for 51 now that Casey has left town and Boden has settled back in after a few weeks away? Well, it seems the men and women of 51 are about to undertake quite a daunting task in what we can only describe as an all-hands-on-deck situation.

As teased in the promo, the 911 call center is down which will find 51 turning into the dispatch center for all firehouses in the district. It promises to be quite an interesting hour for the series and will be interesting to see how the 51 team holds up under the pressure.

Chicago Fire season 10 episode 6 synopsis

While most of 51 will be working to assist with dispatching calls following a security breach at the 911 call center, it looks like Severide (Taylor Kinney) is going to be following up on last week’s arson call in episode 6.

As teased by the synopsis for “Dead Zone,” Severide will be launching an arson investigation and he’ll have some help from his former arson investigation partner Lieutenant Wendy Seager (Andy Allo).

Here’s how NBC officially describes Chicago Fire season 10, episode 6:

"A major security breach in the city’s computer networks forces Firehouse 51’s senior leaders to take matters into their own hands. Severide gears up for an arson investigation."

Surprisingly, NBC hasn’t released too many images for episode 6 but the few images the network has released provide us with our first look at both Seager’s return and 51 in action working to serve as a hub for dispatching calls with the 911 call center down.
