Chicago PD season 9 episode 6 promo, synopsis and photos

Last week on Chicago PD, Atwater (LaRoyce Hawkins) found himself walking a fine line when the new woman he met was thrust into the center of the Intelligence Unit’s latest case.

In the episode, the team worked to find the individuals behind a deadly shooting which led them to Celeste, an art teacher who works with troubled youth. Having not revealed his profession as a cop, Kevin decided to work undercover in hopes of helping the team get answers.

While Kevin was able to leverage the connection to help get to the bottom of things, it was a powerful episode that saw him struggling with his identity as both a black man and a cop.

This week, it looks like the focus will once again be shifted to another member of the team with Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) taking center stage.

In the first promo for the episode, Ruzek and Burgess (Marina Squerciati) find themselves at a loss when their evidence seems to go missing without any explanation. Making things even more complicated? No one had gone in or out of the stash house which seems to suggest there might be a dirty cop in their midst.

As teased by the synopsis, the case at hand seems to be one the team will be working with a former colleague of Ruzek’s. Considering evidence seems to be going missing and the details of the case aren’t adding up, could this colleague be dirty?

When you also consider the episode is titled “End of Watch,” we also can’t help but wonder if we should be worried about whether someone from the team won’t make it out alive as an end of watch ceremony is typically held after a police officer’s death.
