When is the Chicago Med fall finale? (2021)

2021 is quickly nearing the finish line and it won’t be long before Chicago Med and the One Chicago dramas wrap their fall runs before heading onto break for the holidays.

It’s always unfortunate as most viewers tend to have more availability to watch their favorite shows live during the final stretch of the year, but it’s a common practice for networks to shelve their fall programs in order to make way for holiday programming which is once again the case this year.

In past years, the One Chicago shows have run as late as into December at times while last year saw the series begin their breaks in late November. As such, there is a lot of curiosity among fans as to when exactly the final episode of 2021 will air before the fall break.

Chicago Med finale 2021 date

As confirmed by NBC, the Chicago Med fall finale will air Wednesday, Dec. 8 at 8/7c — an interesting move for NBC considering the show’s schedule for the remainder of November.

In a puzzling scheduling decision, NBC has decided to send the One Chicago series into reruns for the remainder of November meaning fans will have to wait three weeks for a new episode… and that new episode will then be the show’s final episode of 2021.

Following the Dec. 8 episode, Chicago Med will go on break until January meaning there is only one new episode left to air this year.
