Fans unearth forgotten Chicago Fire holiday commercial (WATCH)
By Cody Schultz
This December, Chicago Fire will be going all out with a holiday episode said to be so grand it will make the Hallmark Channel jealous. While we could not be more excited for the upcoming holiday episode, it’s hard not to admit it will be a blue Christmas without Captain Casey (Jesse Spencer) in the Windy City to celebrate with his 51 family.
Sure the show has tackled holiday episodes before, but never to the scale the writers seem to be planning to take things this year and we can’t help from feeling a little bit robbed of the chance to see Casey celebrating the holidays with the rest of the 51 team.
Although it doesn’t appear Casey will be dropping by for season 10’s holiday episode, a recently unearthed commercial is filling us with the holiday spirit and giving our Casey-loving hearts a lot to celebrate!
Casey returns in Chicago Fire holiday commercial
In a newly unearthed Chicago Fire commercial for the Google Next Mini, Severide (Taylor Kinney) is enjoying a bit of downtime at 51 while enjoying an episode of The Voice when Casey comes in and reminds him that it’s time to break out the holiday decorations.

Severide, being one step ahead of Casey, turns to his Google Nest Mini and asks to turn on the reindeer which triggers the lighting of the over-the-top holiday lights now adorning one of 51’s firetrucks. As the commercial comes to an end, the pair come together to look on at the light display in all its glory in a moment that is making us seriously miss Severide and Casey’s incredible friendship.
