Chicago Fire spoilers: Beloved character to finally return in season 10

Chicago Fire has seen a lot of characters come and go over the years. While some of these departures have been of the more permanent kind, many others have been in ways that left the door wide open for characters to return when the timing was right. This has allowed the writers to bring back characters from time to time via guest appearances and even a few multi-episode arcs.

Already this season we’ve seen the returns of Griffin Darden (Cameron Scott Roberts) and Wendy Seager (Andy Allo), and the list of returning characters is about to grow again as it’s been confirmed that 51’s beloved firehouse dog Tuesday is finally making her comeback!

First introduced in season 7, Tuesday is a dalmatian belonging to Ritter (Daniel Kyri), who becomes the unofficial 51 firehouse dog after Ritter begins bringing her into 51 during his shifts due to Tuesday’s separation anxiety.

Following her introduction, Tuesday appeared in a number of episodes and even took center stage in a few episodes including one which saw Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) attempting to train her. It was for this reason why fans were so surprised when Tuesday disappeared after season 8 without any explanation.

Is Tuesday the dog coming back to Chicago Fire?

After disappearing after season 8, Tuesday is finally making her way back to Chicago Fire and is set to return sometime in season 10. That’s right, 51’s most adorable member will return this season as revealed via her official Instagram account.

“Do you see what I see? Oh my spots, it was so hard to sit still because of my excitement!” read the caption of a recent Instagram post shared on Tuesday’s official page. In the accompanying photo, Tuesday can be seen posing for the camera on the NBC lot with an oversized version of the Chicago Fire season 10 key art in the background.

Tuesday’s return was later confirmed by the account in the comments of a sweet post showing Tuesday “prepping” for her return.

While the exact episode in which Tuesday will return remains unclear, it seems likely her return will be coming soon given Tuesday is already on set and filming scenes. Who knows, maybe her return will come as early as the holiday episode airing on Dec. 8!
