Chicago Fire: Will Violet and Gallo get together?
Chicago Fire has no shortage of complicated relationships. There’s Brett (Kara Killmer) and Casey (Jesse Spencer) and Severide (Taylor Kinney) and Stella (Miranda Rae Mayo), but one pairing that often gets overlooked is Violet (Hanako Greensmith) and Gallo (Alberto Rosende).
Violet and Gallo attended the same fire academy, and the youthful 51 members had a fling during season 8. Their clashing personalities resulted in a “split” of sorts, and an agreement that they will remain friends. As evidenced by some of Violet’s actions during season 10, however, the romantic sparks are not entirely gone.
Here’s a breakdown of Violet and Gallo’s relationship and whether they will get together before the end of the season.
Who is Gallo’s girlfriend on Chicago Fire?
Violet, Gallo and Ritter (Daniel Kyri) have been a comedic trio since season 9, and their journey to start their own microbrewery have provided season 10 with some of its lighter moments. That said, Gallo’s repeated flirtation with the master brewer’s assistant, Carla has led to some frustration on Violet’s side.
In the episode “What Happened at Whiskey Point”, Gallo revealed that he was seeing Carla outside of work, and the emotional fallout was swift. Violet had been debating whether or not to tell Gallo that she still has feelings for him, which Ritter and Brett urged her to do.
Violet confronts Gallo about these feelings, telling him that she no longer wants to ignore it and that she thinks the pain in her side is related to her repressing them. She tries to downplay the confession when she finds out about Gallo going steady with Carla, but it’s clear that there’s still lots of unresolved tension between them.

Not much has been said about the characters’ arcs for the rest of season 10, but Rosende did tell Hello Magazine that he feels Gallo has a lot of growing to do before he’s ready for something more serious.
“I do think he needs to ground himself more, and I don’t know if that’s with Violet or someone else”, the actor asserted. “I think some people should learn that on their own. I think they all have a lot of room to grow, but one of the things is that when you’re in the firehouse your colleagues understand your lifestyle.”
It’ll be interesting to see how Gallo’s relationship with Carla pans out, especially given Rosende’s comments about being a workaholic and struggling to connect with people outside of the 51. It’s safe to assume that we won’t see the last of Violet and Gallo as a couple.
