Will Violet and Chief Hawkins get together on Chicago Fire?
Violet (Hanako Greensmith) has a couple romantic leads in the 51. The Chicago Fire character previously had a fling with Gallo (Alberto Rosende), and while its clear her character still has feelings for him, there’s a potential second option in Chief Hawkins (Jimmy Nicholas).
In the episode “What Happened at Whiskey Point”, there were some unexpected interactions between Violet and Hawkins, and while nothing overt was said, it was evident that there was an attraction.

Who Is Violet dating on Chicago Fire?
It doesn’t feel like a coincidence that Violet had a flirty interaction with Chief Hawkins in the same episode that she confessed her feelings to Gallo. In the case of the latter, Gallo revealed that he was seeing someone else, and while she tried to downplay her feelings, it was clear that Violet was disappointed.
The show has built up the Violet and Gallo dynamic since season 8, particularly when it comes to the fallout of their initial fling and their attempts to build a friendship. Season 10 has pushed the underlying romantic tension of their friendship to the forefront, especially as Gallo finds romance elsewhere.
It looks as though Chief Hawkins could be a much-needed alternative for Violet. She will still be reeling from her interaction with Gallo, and the pursuit of a romance (or at the very least, a hook up) may be just what her character needs.

That said, we don’t anticipate things taking too serious a turn. Chief Hawkins is still limited to a recurring role on the show, and Violet’s actress, Hanako Greensmith, has hinted at some major developments between her and Gallo in the future.
“[Their relationship is] a very wonderful, surprising, and yet unsurprising thing”, she told Fangirlish. “It makes so much sense when you really look at these characters why they’re kind of attracted to one another, why it somehow strangely works and it doesn’t, at the same time.”
Regardless of what happens between Violet and Chief Hawkins, it’s sure to add some interesting wrinkles to the romantic dynamics within Firehouse 51!
