Chicago PD star Patrick John Flueger to guest star on The CW’s 4400

Patrick John Flueger might be best known for playing Officer Adam Ruzek on Chicago PD to One Chicago Center fans, but the actor built up quite a resume over the years before landing what has become arguably the biggest role of his career in NBC’s police drama.
While his role in Chicago PD tends to keep in relatively busy, Flueger is about to revisit a franchise from his past just not in the way fans might anticipate in booking a role in The CW’s newest drama 4400.
Who did Patrick John Flueger play in The 4400
Prior to joining the cast of Chicago PD in 2014, Patrick John Flueger appeared in a number of series and movies including Syfy’s Emmy-nominated drama The 4400. In the series, Flueger played Shawn Farrell, a 4400 returnee from the year 2001 who was among the first in the group to develop abilities and would eventually become vice president of the 4400 centers.

Flueger originated the role in the series premiere and played Shawn across all four seasons of the series appearing in a total of 44 episodes.
Who will Patrick John Flueger play in The CW’s 4400 reboot?
Given The CW’s 4400 series is a reimagination and not a continuation of Syfy’s original series, it might come as little surprise to fans to learn that Patrick John Flueger will not be reprising his role of Shawn Farrell in the new iteration of the series.
Instead, Flueger will be playing a new character by the name of Caleb who Deadline describes as being a “charismatic figure from one of the 4400’s past.”

Don’t fret, while Patrick John Flueger will appear in an upcoming episode of The CW’s 4400 reboot he’s not about to leave Chicago PD behind to join the cast of 4400. Instead, Flueger is simply going to appear on the series in a guest spot, though there is always the chance he could return for additional appearances in the future if his schedule permits.
