Chicago Fire spoilers: What to expect in Chicago Fire season 10 episode 10 (Preview)

From the moment the credits rolled after the Chicago Fire midseason finale on Dec. 8, fans have been counting down the days until the midseason premiere and the chance to see what’s to come for Stellaride after Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) made her long-awaited return in the closing moments of the episode.

After going MIA early this season with an extended furlough that saw her traveling to various cities to set up Girls on Fire programs, Kidd finally made her way back to Chicago in the midseason finale to a not-so-warm welcome from Severide (Taylor Kinney).

Given how things went in the first half of the season, it’s going to be interesting to see what is to come for the couple but with Kidd back to stay fans are surely in for a memorable first hour of the new year!

In the promo for the Chicago Fire midseason premiere, fans get their first look at the fallout of Kidd’s return as she and Severide sit down for what appears to be an incredibly intense conversation.

As the conversation begins, Severide questions Kidd about her actions and the way in which she ghosted him which leads Kidd to make a shocking omission. This leads Severide to question Kidd’s loyalty in questioning whether he cheated on him while out of town. Ouch!

As expected, the synopsis for the Chicago Fire midseason premiere leans immediately into Kidd’s return to 51 but that’s only the tip of the iceberg of what promises to be a shocking episode!

Between Kidd and Severide’s intense reunion, 51 will respond to a potassium fire in a tunnel which should allow fans the chance to see how Kidd will interact with 51’s new lieutenant. Later, Ritter (Daniel Kyri) will find himself drawn to a young cop who was witness to a gruesome scene.

Here’s how NBC officially describes Chicago Fire season 10, episode 10:

"Stella Kidd returns to Firehouse 51. The team must work together to put out a potassium fire in a tunnel. After that incident, Ritter begins to worry about a young cop who witnessed the fiery death of a truck driver."

While the first photos for the Chicago Fire season 10 midseason premiere don’t offer up any looks at what’s to come from Severide and Stella’s reunion, the first images of the new year do provide us with our first look at Kidd’s return to 51 where she rejoins her 51 family on a call.
