Chicago Med spoilers: What to expect in Chicago Med season 7 episode 10 (Preview)

The holidays are officially behind us and with the new year comes the return of Chicago Med which resumes its seventh season this Wednesday night with its first episode of the new year.

As the new year begins, Goodwin (S. Epatha Merkerson) will be left to deal with the fallout of the fall finale after she blew the whistle on the Vas-COM scandal that had been unfolding in the hospital. Needless to say, the move hasn’t exactly made her new friends with the board as a fight might just be beginning for Goodwin.

In the official promo for Chicago Med 7×10, Goodwin finds herself under fire after calling the FBI with the hospital brass reeling and media quickly closing in after word of the scandal makes waves.

While we anticipated Goodwin would have an uphill battle ahead of her in the midseason premiere given she disregarded the board’s orders and called the FBI, we didn’t quite anticipate Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss) to find himself in the line of fire. However, as the promo for the episode teases, it appears Halstead’s role in the scandal could cost him more than he anticipated.

Chicago Med 7×10 synopsis

As you might expect, the official synopsis for Chicago Med‘s midseason premiere focuses heavily on the fallout of the Vas-COM scandal teasing the forthcoming clash between Goodwin and the hospital brass. It seems after the scandal, a new compliance officer has been brought in and won’t exactly be an ally to Goodwin — at least to start.

In addition to teasing the Vas-COM fallout, the episode synopsis also offers up a few teases for what’s to come for some hospital’s other docs with a tease of Crockett (Dominic Rains) and Blake (Sarah Rafferty) working to save a patient with an autistic son.

"In the aftermath of the Vas-COM scandal, Goodwin clashes with the hospital’s new compliance officer. Crockett and Blake try to save a patient who has a son with severe autism. A patient’s son lies to his father about his diagnosis."
