A new year is finally upon us and after an extended break, Chicago PD will soon return to NBC’s lineup with a fresh batch of new episodes!

After an extended holiday break, NBC’s One Chicago series will hit the ground running in January with a stretch of new episodes beginning with the shows’ winter premieres on Wednesday, Jan. 5. From there, NBC has lined up a stretch of new episodes that should keep fans talking all month long before the show’s next break.

Chicago PD TV schedule for January 2022

Wednesday, Jan. 5 – New Episode

On Wednesday, Jan. 5, NBC will be airing the tenth episode of season 9, “Home Safe.” In the winter premiere, the Intelligence Unit works to find a missing child while Burgess and Ruzek receive an unexpected surprise when someone from Makayla’s past suddenly comes forward.

Wednesday, Jan. 12 – New Episode

On Wednesday, Jan. 12, NBC will be airing the eleventh episode of season 9, “Lies.” The episode will see Voight turning to his new informant for help with a drug trafficking case as Atwater finds himself torn between his two worlds once again.

Wednesday, Jan. 19 – New Episode

On Wednesday, Jan. 19, NBC will be airing the twelfth episode of season 9, “To Protect.” During the episode, the team attempt to identify the head of the Los Temidos gang while Voight runs into an unexpected complication with his informant that could threaten her undercover role.

Wednesday, Jan. 26 – To Be Announced

At this time, NBC has not confirmed whether there will be a new episode of Chicago PD airing on Jan. 26. That said, we are anticipating a new episode of Chicago PD will be airing on the final Wednesday of January due to the fact that NBC’s scripted series are expected to go on break in February to make room for its coverage of the Winter Olympics.
