Chicago Med spoilers: What to expect in Chicago Med season 7 episode 11 (Preview)

Last Wednesday, Chicago Med returned from its winter break with an episode that wasted no time in showing the fallout the Vas-COM scandal has brought for the doctors and nurses of Med. While we anticipated Goodwin (S. Epatha Merkerson) would be facing a serious fallout following her decision to call the FBI in, we weren’t quite prepared for the larger repercussions would have for the rest of the hospital’s staff.

Sure we anticipated Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss) could face some consequences due to his role in the scandal, but the scandal is looking to affect far more people than we imagined including Maggie (Marlyne Barrett) and Vanessa (Asjha Cooper), whose relationship could cause some complications for the two as the new compliance officer makes waves at Med.

The first teaser for Wednesday’s new episode of Chicago Med teases what appears to be the big case of the week.

In the opening moments, a young woman stumbles into ED before collapsing to the floor. It’s not long after that Stevie (Kristen Hager) and Charles (Oliver Platt) are on the case, which leads to the discovery that their patient has fallen ill after getting some back-alley plastic surgery — a discovery that leads to a heated confrontation between Charles and the “surgeon” responsible for performing the procedure that has landed their patient in the ER.

As teased in the promo for this week’s episode, Stevie and Charles will be dealing with the repercussions of their patient’s back-alley plastic surgery but that will be just one of the week’s medical cases on the agenda. Elsewhere in the episode, Crockett (Dominic Rains) and Blake (Sarah Rafferty) clash with the hospital’s new compliance officer when it comes to their course of treatment for an alcoholic football player in need of a transplant.

"Crockett and Blake clash with Randall when a famous alcoholic football player needs a liver transplant. Dylan is reluctantly reunited with old friends when their son breaks his arm. Stevie and Charles work together when a patient falls ill after back-alley plastic surgery."
