In today’s day of streaming, it’s never been easier to enjoy the newest episodes of Chicago Fire. For those who miss the live broadcasts, there are countless ways to stream the series online including the series’ long-time streaming home: Hulu.

For years now, fans have been able to catch new episodes of the One Chicago franchise on Hulu the day after their broadcast debut. Hulu has also long been home to the current season’s episodes which has made it a destination spot for viewers looking to catch up on or rewatch the current seasons of their favorite One Chicago shows.

While Chicago Fire and its fellow One Chicago have been a staple on Hulu for years, a new report indicates the series could soon be leaving Hulu behind.

Is Chicago Fire leaving Hulu?

Chicago Fire and the entire One Chicago franchise will indeed soon be leaving Hulu. Following initial reports, it has since been confirmed by TVLine that the One Chicago series will be leaving Hulu and making their way to Peacock — which will become the shows’ official streaming home.

Word on the move first broke in February when The Wall Street Journal reported that NBCUniversal was in the process of finalizing a plan which would entail shifting its many hit series from Hulu to stream exclusively on its own Peacock streaming platform.

Under this new deal, new episodes of NBCUniversal series such as Chicago Fire, Chicago Med and Chicago PD will no longer be available to Hulu subscribers following their broadcast debut.

Instead, NBCUniversal’s goal is to drive more attention to Peacock and strengthen its presence in the streaming world by making it the destination spot to enjoy the latest episodes of viewers’ favorite NBC series.

When is Chicago Fire leaving Hulu?

At this time, no timeline has been set for when Chicago Fire, Chicago PD and Chicago Med might be leaving Hulu; however, we do know that the deal in development would not affect the shows’ current seasons.

Given the deal would see new episodes of NBCUniversal series moving to Peacock exclusively in the fall, it’s likely the One Chicago series would be removed from Hulu sometime close to or in September 2022. After all, September is usually when the new fall season kicks off and when the most recent season of NBCUniversal series begin leaving Hulu to make way for the new seasons debuting that fall.
