It’s time Chicago Fire Funko Pop! figures become a reality
By Cody Schultz
Since its launch of the Pop! figure line back in 2010, Funko has gifted fans with collections of Pop! figures inspired by some of the biggest TV and movie franchises around.
While its releases were initially limited, Funko’s catalog of figures has since grown immensely with collections of figures inspired by some of the biggest series around — including more than a few NBCUniversal brands.
From The Office and Seinfeld to Will and Grace and The Good Place, Funko has made Pop! figures inspired by several hit NBC shows and it’s time Chicago Fire joins the ever-growing list with a Funko figure line inspired by the One Chicago series.
Why aren’t there any Chicago Fire Funko figures?
It’s unclear why there are not any Chicago Fire Funko Pop! figures, especially given the popularity of the series. The most likely reason there have not yet been figures inspired by NBC’s hit series is due to Funko not having licensing rights to the characters.

Traditionally, Funko will reach out to a property owner to begin conversations and obtain licensing to use their characters for Pop! figures. As GeekWire once noted, for ideas that are not brought to them directly from licensors, Funko’s team will reach out to brands after kicking around ideas and determining which they’d like to pursue.
Given we haven’t yet received a figure line inspired by the characters from Chicago Fire, it seems Funko has either not reached out to NBCUniversal about a collection inspired by the show and/or NBC has not struck any deals with Funko which would help pave the way for a collection.
Chicago Fire characters we’d love to see as Funko Pop! figures
Should a Chicago Fire Funko Pop! collection ever become a reality, there is no shortage of incredible characters the brand could pull from for inspiration. Traditionally, Funko has often started small when launching collections inspired by popular franchises by limiting the number of figures to around 4-6 figures.
If a Chicago Fire Funko collection were to come to fruition there are certainly a few standout characters we’d love to see included in the initial collection.
Of course, it’d only be right for the first wave to include fan-favorite originals such as Chief Boden, Casey, Severide, Dawson, Herrmann and Cruz. We’d also love to see figures inspired by characters who joined the show a few seasons into its run such as Kidd, Brett, Gallo and Ritter.
Will there ever be Chicago Fire Funko figures?
If there is one thing we’ve learned, it’s to never say never when it comes to Funko as the brand has launched collections inspired by countless TV shows over the years. While Funko has not announced plans for a Chicago Fire Funko Pop! figure collection, there is always a chance one could come out at some point in the future.
Considering NBCUniversal and Funko have partnered for several collections in the past, we can only hope that with increased fan interest the two brands might come together to collaborate on a figure line inspired by the One Chicago series!
