Who is Violet dating on Chicago Fire?
Violet (Hanako Greensmith) has had a tumultuous love life in season 10. She initially held a torch for Gallo (Alberto Rosende) but she’s grown increasingly closer to Chief Hawkins (Jimmy Nicholas), leading to some internal conflict.
While the previous Chicago Fire episode hinted at some explosive chemistry between Violet and Hawkins, few could have expected that they would kiss during the gala event.
It turns out that things went far beyond kissing, however, as the new episode, “Fire Cop”, opens with the couple waking up in bed together. Here’s what you need to know about Violet and her current relationship status.
Violet and Hawkins on Chicago Fire
Violet may have spent the night with Hawkins, but her apprehension the next morning did hint at some problems for the couple. She voiced concern over whether a romance would cause problems for their careers, but Hawkins assured her that it was merely “frowned upon”, not illegal.
Violet’s nervousness carries throughout most of the episode, especially when Gallo asks her about her time at the gala. Despite keeping her true feelings under wraps, Gallo warns her about getting with Hawkins. This leads to a heated exchange where Violet tells Gallo off, and reminds him that she pursued him for a long time before she moved on.

Towards the end of the episode, Violet can be seen reading a text from Hawkins that puts her at ease. The couple then reunite in the latter’s office, where they kiss and make plans for dinner. For all intents and purpose, Violet and Hawkins are dating.
It’s unclear how they will handle their blossoming romance, and whether they will try to keep it hidden from the rest of Firehouse 51. If they do decide to go the secret route, then Gallo’s subtle interest in Violet could lead him to spill the beans to his superior officers.
Either way, it’ll be exciting to see how unexpected love story unfolds throughout season 10.
