Chicago Fire spoilers: What to expect in Chicago Fire season 10, episode 14 (Preview)

Kidd starts looking at a lieutenant position in Chicago Fire season 10, episode 14. Here’s a look at what to expect during the new episode.

For a while, it looked like the Chicago Fire writers had found a way to give Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) a lieutenant position at Firehouse 51. Then she decided to spend her time focused on Girls on Fire and not go through the ranks just yet.

It made sense, but she’s back on the lieutenant track. During the previous episode, Kylie (Katelynn Shennett) helped out run the Girls on Fire session, proving herself to be a leader. She then shared her thoughts with Kidd about Kidd’s recent actions. Kidd will make an excellent lieutenant, so it’s time for her to pursue that.

That’s where we’ll find her in the new episode. She’s looking for a position, but it’s going to be outside Firehouse 51. Lieutenant Pelham (Brett Dalton) is getting comfortable at Firehouse 51, even if it’s not in the cursed office.

The promo for the new episode gives us a look at one of the calls. There’s someone who has gone over a bridge in a car and is hanging onto part of the broken railing. Severide (Taylor Kinney) is the one heading out to rescue him, but things aren’t running all that smoothly.

The rope looks to be breaking. Or maybe it’s just that the crane the rope is over looks to be falling. Either way, it looks like Severide and the civilian could end up going down instead of up.

The synopsis talks about Kidd looking into an open lieutenant spot, but there is much more going on in the episode. We don’t get anything about Severide’s call, which suggests that’s going to look dicey but turn out to be fine.

Chief Hawkins is back. Brett and Violet have a problem and he’s going to step in to help. Of course, he will. Is this a sign of him overstepping because of his personal relationship with Violet?

I’m extremely interested in the blast from the past that shows up. This is someone who knows both Mouch and Herrmann. Have we seen this person before, or will it be someone completely new from their joint past as firefighters?
