Was there a new Chicago Med this week? (March 23, 2022)

2022 has been off to an interesting start for Chicago Med fans.

After returning from its winter break on Jan. 5, Med aired three episodes before taking a four-week break. The season then resumed on Feb. 23 for a stretch of four new episodes before going on yet another break this week.

That’s right, there was no new episode on March 23, as NBC instead opted to air an encore of an earlier episode from this season. So if you’re looking at your DVR or searching Hulu or Peacock for a new episode, don’t fret as you did not miss a new episode — Med simply wasn’t new this week.

When is the next episode of Chicago Med?

Here’s the bad news. We’ve got a bit of a wait before the next new episode of Chicago Med. Now for the good news. While NBC has pressed pause on the current season of the One Chicago shows, Chicago Med and its sister series will all return with new episodes on Wednesday, April 6, 2022.

It’s unclear why exactly NBC has scheduled this latest break in the One Chicago shows’ schedule, but there is a chance this could be the final multi-week break in the season. With the 2021-22 season coming to a close in just a matter of weeks, we should see fewer breaks in the schedule as the show begins to build towards its season finale.
