Was there a new Chicago PD this week? (March 23, 2022)

Given the crazy nature of this season’s schedule, it can be hard to keep track of when to expect new episodes of Chicago PD. After all, we’ve seen the One Chicago shows take several breaks this season.

If you’re worried you might have missed a new episode this week, we’re here to assure you that your DVR did not glitch out on you nor is your favorite streaming service playing tricks on you. There simply was no new episode of Chicago PD — or Chicago Fire and Chicago Med — airing on Wednesday, March 23.

As teased in the promo which aired after the most recent episodes of the One Chicago franchise, PD and its sister series are taking yet another break with NBC airing encores in place of new episodes.

When is the next episode of Chicago PD?

Considering we’ve seen some pretty lengthy breaks in the season, you’re likely wondering when the One Chicago series will finally air their next episodes. The bad news is that Chicago PD is on yet another multi-week break, but the good news is this particular break won’t last quite as long as others we’ve seen this season.

Following two back-to-back weeks of encore episodes, Chicago PD season 9 will finally resume on Wednesday, April 6 with the sixteenth episode of the season. Given we’re quickly nearing the end of the season, our hope is that this will be the final break in the show’s current season.
