Chicago Fire boss: Gallo, Violet & Hawkins love triangle ‘still alive’
Love has never been a simple topic on Chicago Fire. Fans have seen countless romances over the years, and while some have managed to stand the test of time, others have fallen by the wayside due to bad timing, professional setbacks, and the general chaos of life.
Violet (Hanako Greensmith) has learned this lesson throughout season 10. Her attempts to keep a romance with Chief Hawkins (Jimmy Nicholas) has been burdened by the fact that he’s a superior, and the fact that Gallo (Alberto Rosende) still has feelings for her.
Well, based on the comments of Fire executive producer Andrea Newman, we can expect a lot more drama from the trio as we approach the season finale.
Violet is struggling with her feelings towards Gallo and Hawkins
Newman told Deadline that the dynamic between the three characters is only going to get more complicated, as each of them sort through their romantic feelings. Violet may be pursuing Chief Hawkins, but a part of her still has an attachment to Gallo, given their history together.
"“The Gallo, Hawkins, Violet love triangle is still alive. There’s still a lot of complications between them”, Newman revealed. “It’s not going to be as simple as off she goes with Hawkins. It’s still a tricky situation for all three of them and Gallo ends up very much in between those two.”"
This may be shocking to some fans, given that Violet and Hawkins recently took the huge step of saying “I love you” to one another. If anything, the exchange should have solidified their romance for the near future. However, Gallo’s maturity as a friend, and as someone who tried to protect the couple from rumors, despite his own personal feelings, has led Violet to look at him in a different light.

"“[Gallo] has been a good friend and that can be very attractive”, Newman added. “She’s got herself in between two really great guys who are very different. It’s very complicated.”"
These revelations from the show’s executive producer are fascinating, given the number of subplots that have been bubbling up. In addition to the love triangle, Fire will be dealing with the impending marriage of Stellaride and the return of Casey (Jesse Spencer).
It’ll be fun to see how Newman and company manage to juggle all of these stories and give them a satisfying resolution before the finale is up.
