FBI fans rejoice. All three titles in the beloved franchise have been renewed for an additional two seasons by CBS. It’s the latest in a string of multi-season renewals for Dick Wolf productions, after the One Chicago shows received a similar deal last year.

According to Deadline, FBI, FBI: Most Wanted, and FBI: International will be sticking around for the long term. Kelly Price, the President of CBS Entertainment, issued a statement that confirmed the renewals, along with an appraisal of the franchise as a whole.

"“The FBIs are one of the most successful brands in the entire TV landscape and a powerful cornerstone of our number one lineup”, Price added. “They’ve attracted a dedicated, loyal fan base, thanks to the extraordinary vision of executive producer Dick Wolf and the talents of all three outstanding casts and creative teams. I know we and our viewers look forward to two additional seasons of engaging, heroic stories.”"

Price’s comments were released jointly with a statement from franchise producer Dick Wolf. The TV mastermind referenced some of the difficulties that the FBI producers and writers faced during the pandemic, and assured fans that they will continue to churn out the highest quality stories for the next few seasons.

"“We are all incredibly grateful to CBS and our partners at Universal Television and CBS Studios”, he added. “And I personally would like to thank the incredible casts, talented writers and dedicated producers, not to mention three crews who never missed an airdate despite the difficulties of producing full seasons during the COVID-19 pandemic.”"

FBI, the flagship show in the franchise, will be coming back for its fifth and sixth seasons, while FBI: Most Wanted will be renewed for its fourth and fifth seasons. FBI: International, meanwhile, will be renewed through its second and third seasons.

We’ve had the pleasure of seeing crossovers between the FBI and One Chicago franchises, and given the confirmation that both are going to be around on their respective networks for the next few years, we can keep our fingers crossed that we will get another crossover.
