Brett Dalton has been a sparing yet memorable presence on Chicago Fire. He played Jason Pelham, the lieutenant who helped ease the transition between mainstays Casey (Jesse Spencer) and Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo).

While Pelham was initially seem as a mysterious character, he quickly won over the hearts of the other firefighters. He’s a selfless leader, and as showrunner Derek Haas has confirmed, he will be a character who make occasional returns to the series.

That being said, Dalton has other gigs lined up. Here’s what you need to know about the actor’s latest TV role.

The Equalizer cast 2022

Dalton recently appeared on an episode of The Equalizer. He played a character named Carter Griffin, a straight-laced CIA agent who must form an uneasy alliance with McCall (Queen Latifah). The duo clashed due to their contrasting styles, but the chemistry between Dalton and Latifah led to the episode “Pulse” being one of the season’s highlights.

Dalton is not scheduled to reprise his role, but given how positively things went over, we wouldn’t be surprised to see his character, Griffin, pop back up for a particularly tricky case in the future. He has an impressive resume of guest spots on popular shows like Elementary, Killing Lincoln, and Blue Bloods.

Furthermore, the actor has continued to land juicy roles on film and television. He recently voiced the character of Parasite in the animated DC release Superman: Man of Tomorrow, and starred in the TV movie One December Night.

While it’s great to see Dalton continue to find success, it’s even better knowing that the actor is in good spirits regarding his One Chicago character, and is willing to return whenever Haas and the writers need him.

He played a big part in the Chicago Fire episode “Halfway to the Moon“, as he advised Gallo (Alberto Rosende) on what to do regarding his career. It was a major contrast to the tension the characters shared early on.
