The Chicago Fire season 10 finale was supposed to be a happy event. There is a bittersweet element to the story involving Tuesday.

We were supposed to be all excited about the Chicago Fire season 10 finale. It was the wedding event of the season. Stellaride was finally going to say “I do.”

While the wedding event still happened, we went into the episode learning some very sad news. It’s all about the best member of the Firehouse 51 family, the one who has always been a very good girl. Yes, we’re talking about Tuesday.

It was only last year that we worried that we wouldn’t see Tuesday, Ritter’s dog who quickly became a fan favorite in season 7, again. Dogs were banned from the firehouses in Chicago in real life back in April 2021, and we know the series stays true to form when it comes to the rules. Yet, Tuesday made a return, and we were more than happy about that.

Tuesday’s last episode is the Chicago Fire season 10 finale

The day before the Chicago Fire season 10 finale, Tuesday’s real-life handler took to social media to share some sad news. The finale is going to be Tuesday’s last episode on the series, and this isn’t because of a creative decision or for the writing to stay true to the real rules.

Tuesday has passed away. She succumbed to unforeseen kidney problems on Sunday, May 22. It sounds like it was very sudden, and we’re heartbroken by this loss.

How will the series manage the loss? Will she just not be part of Chicago Fire season 11 without a reason? Hopefully, the show will give us some sort of chance to mourn the loss of Tuesday. When it came to DuShon Monique Brown’s untimely death, the series gave us all a goodbye to Connie by writing her out by getting her dream job.

It’s going to be harder to offer Tuesday a positive send-off like that, but there would be a way to give us all a chance to say goodbye to the dog we’ve come to know and love in the Chicago Fire season 11 premiere.
