Chicago Fire may be over for the time being, but fans can still revel in the afterglow of the season 10 finale. There were tons of satisfying developments in the finale, with the most notable being the wedding between Stella (Miranda Rae Mayo) and Severide (Taylor Kinney).

While fans have had weeks to pour over their favorite moments and discuss it online, the cast has taken to Instagram to add their two cents. There have been several behind-the-scenes photos and videos that have popped up, proving that the filming of the finale was just as fun as watching it.

Here are some of the most notable behind-the-scenes moments.

Brettsey breaks it down

The fate of Brett (Kara Killmer) and Casey (Jesse Spencer) is undecided, and while it was great to see them return to Chicago, it was tough knowing that it could be one of the last times we see them as a couple.

Killmer decided to relieve some of the dramatic tension from the Brettsey storyline with a video of her and Jesse Spencer dancing. It’s nice to know that the actors kept things light and goofy during the otherwise weighty exchanges.

Candid camera with Kara Killmer

Killmer proved to be the most photo-conscious cast member during the finale, as this collection of behind-the-scenes photos can attest. She grabbed fun moments with nearly all of the major cast members, including Eamonn Walker, Hanako Greensmith, and the aforementioned Spencer.

She also posed for some hi-jinx with Miranda Rae Mayo, seemingly before and after she shot her wedding scenes with her onscreen husband. These photos are especially nice to see after Killmer was MIA for several episodes, and the fate of her character was seemingly up in the air.

Violet takes center stage

Killmer wasn’t the only one who got in on the fun, however. Hanako Greensmith decided to post a photo of her being held by the rest of the main cast with the caption: “Get you some pals who can really lift you up, ya dig?”

It’s a nice little capper for the actress, especially given the emotional highs and lows her character went through in season 10. A Violet post would be incomplete without a snap of her, Gallo (Alberto Rosende) and Ritter (Daniel Kyri), which of course, Greensmith included in her post.

As the long wait for Chicago Fire season 11 continues, we’re thankful to the cast and crew for giving us behind-the-scenes looks and teasers of what’s to come!
