The Chicago Fire season 10 finale might not have ended with a massive life-threatening cliffhanger as we’ve seen in past years, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t still a lot of mystery regarding the fate of the show’s cast. And understandably so.

Season 10 saw more than a few casting shakeups with characters coming and going, so it’s understandable that fans would be concerned about whether any actors might choose to leave the series ahead of its return this September.

While NBC has not yet confirmed whether season 11 will see any cast members departing the show, it appears there is at least one cast member we can stop worrying about leaving — at least if the actor behind the character’s latest Instagram post is any indication!

Chris Mansa hints at return as part of Chicago Fire season 11 cast

Taking to Instagram, actor Chris Mansa seemed to not-so-subtly confirm he’ll be returning as Mason Locke in the upcoming eleventh season of Chicago Fire.

“All signs point to Mason!! So excited to step into those boots again,” Mansa teased in a new photo shared on Instagram posing beneath a street sign reading Mason. While filming on season 11 hasn’t yet kicked off, it looks as though Mansa will be returning as Mason and is more than ready to suit back up in his 51 gear!

Considering Mason’s time at 51 only just began last season following his return in episode 15 following a guest spot in the twelfth episode of season 9, it’s not too surpring to hear he will be coming back for season 11. However, it’s certainly a relief as we have seen new characters introduced only to appear in a few episodes before stepping away.
