Violet Mikami almost lost her job in Chicago Fire season 10. It looks like the Emma situation is dealt with, but what’s next in Chicago Fire season 11?

Things started off pretty great for Violet in Chicago Fire season 10. She had found her place at Firehouse 51, and she, Gallo, and Ritter were starting their side business. Things started to go a little south just as she started a relationship with the new paramedic chief, Hawkins.

While the relationship wasn’t completely against the rules, it was frowned upon. They had to keep things under the radar, especially as a complaint came in about Hawkins playing favorites. And then Emma Jacobs came in as temporary cover while Brett was away and caused even more problems.

The Chicago Fire season 10 finale suggested that things had been solved. Emma proved that she wasn’t cut out to be at Firehouse 51, but is that really the end of the problem?

What will happen to Violet Mikami in Chicago Fire season 11?

It doesn’t seem like the Emma problem is really gone. Things just seemed to wrap up a little too abruptly. Considering the series knew it had an 11th season when writing for season 10 started, it wouldn’t be surprising if this storyline was planned for season 11, too.

Emma may be gone for now, but she could come back to cause problems for Violet and Hawkins. She wants Violet’s spot, and she’s willing to blackmail and lie to get it. Violet will want to keep watching her back.

At the same time, Violet seems to be having second thoughts about her relationship with Hawkins. It’s caused a lot of trouble, and she may be wondering whether it’s really worth it all. She did leave Hawkins a voicemail at the end of Chicago Fire season 10, and we didn’t get to hear it. Could it be a breakup voicemail?

Hopefully, that won’t mean Hawkins will retaliate against her. He does seem like a good guy, so I’m hoping that if Violet decides the relationship isn’t worth the risk to her career that he will accept it. After all, he was willing to resign or be transferred to be with Violet so she didn’t lose her job.

The one good thing is Brett is back. We’ll get to see Violet and Brett work together more in Chicago Fire season 11. I’d also love to see Violet take charge more when she can considering what we saw her do when Emma was with her.
