Chicago Med star teases return in season 8 hinting SPOILER will be okay

The Chicago Med season 8 premiere might still be a few months away, but the cast and crew are already hard at work on the new season of NBC’s hit medical drama!

After taking a few weeks off for the summer, production finally began on the new seasons of the One Chicago series the week of July 18. With filming beginning on the new seasons, the casts of the shows have begun making their way back to Chicago which has helped to provide us with our first glimpses of the upcoming seasons of NBC’s most-watched dramas.

Among those who have recently returned to set to begin work on season 8 is Guy Lockard, whose return seems to suggest Dylan will survive the finale’s firey cliffhanger which left fans to worry if his exit was coming.

Will Dylan Scott die in the Chicago Med premiere?

As fans will recall, as season 7 of Chicago Med came to a close, Lockwood’s Dr. Dylan Scott found himself in a precarious situation after Will’s apartment building went up in flames — leaving both doctors trapped in a firey hallway as the season came to a close.

Although things weren’t looking good for Dylan as the season came to an end, it appears fans can breathe a sigh of relief as Lockwood’s presence on set seems to suggest his character will survive the firey cliffhanger and will not perish in the apartment fire.

While it’s possible NBC could throw a plot twist our way, there have been no signs that Lockwood is leaving the show and his presence on set seems to put any questions of a departure to bed.
