There is now Firehouse 51 without the father figure for the majority of the family. Is Eamonn Walker returning to Chicago Fire season 11?

Without Wallace Boden, Firehouse 51 wouldn’t be the family that it is. He is the father figure for most of the firefighters, especially the newer members. He is the glue that keeps everyone together. There’s no doubt that it’s been Boden who has managed to keep firefighters from leaving or permanently falling out with each other during situations.

There isn’t a series without Eamonn Walker. Every season, we fear that he is going to leave, though. There have even been storylines written to make us think that we’ll lose the firehouse chief-turned-deputy district chief.

Here’s Eamonn Walker’s future on Chicago Fire season 11.

Is Boden leaving in Chicago Fire season 11?

There is some excellent news for those who need more Boden on their screens. There are no signs that Walker is leaving the series during the new season.

During the 10th season, we did see some changes for the firehouse. Boden was promoted to Deputy District Chief of District 4. At one point, this was supposed to move him out of Firehouse 51.

The Deputy District Chief needs to remain central to the entire district. That meant making his home at a different firehouse, and we worried that would mean the loss of the character. While it might not be a permanent exit, we would get less of our favorite chief. That was when Kylie stepped in with a saving grace.

With one of the houses closing down, the center of the district changed. That made Firehouse 51 the central point for District 4. It was clear that Boden could remain at the place he has called home for all 10 seasons of the series (and before that).

Boden continues to give out the orders for Firehouse 51, along with the other houses that attend calls. He’s showing no signs of slowing down just yet, and we’ll see more of him throughout the 11th season. With any hope, we’ll also see more of his personal life, which hasn’t been brought up much in the last few seasons.
