Who does Sofia Vassilieva play on Chicago Fire?
Sofia Vassilieva has quite the resume for being only 29. The actress got her start as a child, and rose to stardom as the character Eloise in a pair of TV movies: Eloise at the Plaza and Eloise at Christmastime. But how does this all tie in to Chicago Fire?
Well, in the midst of Vassilieva’s busy schedule, which included guest stints on shows like Lucifer and Supergirl, she found time to star in a terrific episode of the firefighting drama. Here’s a recap of who she played and how her character factored into the plot.
Who plays Adrianna on Chicago Fire?
Vassilieva played a character named Adrianna in the Chicago Fire episode “Keep You Safe.” She’s involved in a nasty car accident, and while it initially seems as though her injuries were caused by the accident, Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) determines that the bruise marks on her neck were present beforehand.
Eventually, Adrianna reveals that the man responsible for the accident was her abusive boyfriend, and that she lied about knowing him in an attempt to protect him. The boyfriend had been forcing her to participate in a series of robberies against her will, and when she tried to get out of doing it, he sped the vehicle up and caused the crash.

At the urging of Kidd, Adrianna talks to the police and admits the truth. It’s a heartbreaking scene, and Vassilieva nails the dramatic heft of the scene despite only having minutes of screen time.
The actress has maintained her busy schedule into the 2020s. She had a supporting role in the Oscar-nominated thriller The Little Things (2021) and guest spots on the shows Looking for Alaska (2019) and All Rise (2021).
Comic book fans will recognize Vassilieva as the superhero Looker in the DC series Black Lightning.
