SPOILER spotted on the set of Chicago PD season 10
Chicago PD season 9 left things on a heavy note. Not only did we see Lt. Voight (Jason Beghe) get shot, but we saw the fallout of his decision to withhold evidence lead to the death of an informant who was crucial to the season, Anna Avalos (Carmela Zumbado).
The upcoming season will deal with the aftermath of these horrible events, but it also signify the return of a character that fans have met before. He’s popped up in a string of production photos, suggesting that he will play a pivotal role in the overarching narrative of season 10.
Who might the character be?
Well, he’s a rookie by the name of Dante Torres (Benjamin Levy Aguilar). The character was introduced in the season 9 episode “New Guard”, where his encyclopedic knowledge of street gangs led Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) to question his loyalty.
Over the course of the episode, however, Torres proved himself to be a valuable asset to the IU and someone with the moxie/knowledge to stick around.

The character didn’t appear much in the season finale, leading some to question that he was a one-and-done, but the photos that’ve been taken on the season 10 confirms that he’s back full-time.
Thanks to the Twitter account One Chicago updates, we have screenshots of countless IG stories that see Aguilar posing with fans and cast members like Tracy Spiridakos and Soffer. The young actor even posted a photo himself with the caption: “Ocean representa!”
Deadline recently confirmed that Aguilar was being added to the Chicago PD cast as a full-timer, which makes him the first actor to receive said honor in several seasons. It’ll be exciting to get a fresh perspective on the IU, as well as the questionable tactics of Voight and company as he gets to learn the ropes.
