Chicago Fire confirms Violet & Hawkins are still together

Things got shaky between Violet (Hanako Greensmith) and Chief Hawkins (Jimmy Nicholas) during the season 10 finale of Chicago Fire. While their romance thrived for most of the season, the way that blackmail and office politics played out led to some uncertainty.

Violet made it clear that she was unsure about her romantic future with Hawkins, despite his best efforts to keep things running smoothly. She also threw out the possibility that she might have some leftover feelings for Gallo (Alberto Rosende).

The finale made it unclear whether their relationship would last into season 11.

Did Violet and Hawkins break up on Chicago Fire?

Fortunately, Hanako Greensmith has given fans some insight (and laughs). She’s been posting stories from the set of Chicago Fire on her Instagram, and based on what we’ve seen, there have been lots of scenes between her and Jimmy Nicholas.

Greensmith’s earlier posts confirmed that Nicholas would be returning to the show, but a playful photo of the two actors shaving together shed some light on the current situation between their characters.

Along with the photos, Greensmith wrote, “TV couples who shave together stay together!” This is both a fun nod to the behind-the-scenes hi-jinx but an acknowledgment that Violet and Hawkins are still an item on the show.

There are going to no doubt be some romantic complications for the duo throughout season 11, especially since showrunner Derek Haas has confirmed that there will be some “love triangle” type stories involving Violet, Hawkins, and Gallo. All that said, however, it looks like they will be an item heading into the season 11 premiere.
