After yet another summer full of reruns, the wait for new episodes of Chicago Fire is nearing its conclusion. In fact, we’re now only weeks away from the first new episode of season 11 hitting the airwaves.

While we’ve grown accustomed to the summer breaks as the series has taken the summer off ever since it began back in 2012, that never stops us from counting down the days every summer until new episodes finally arrive.

Luckily, our latest hiatus is in the final stretch now that August is breezing by and September is knocking at our door!

When is the new season of Chicago Fire?

The new season of Chicago Fire will finally kick off on Wednesday, Sept. 21 with the season 11 premiere on One Chicago Wednesday. As in past years, Fire will once again be holding down the 9 p.m. timeslot bridging the gap between Chicago Med and Chicago PD on Wednesday nights.

At this time, there isn’t much known about the upcoming season premiere but we are anticipating it should bring a conclusion to the season 10 finale cliffhanger by revealing who exactly was in the car that followed Severide and Kidd to their cabin. Additionally, we should find out if Severide and Kidd find themselves in any danger or if the mysterious threat wasn’t quite as dangerous as we thought it might be.
