NBC releases One Chicago teaser ahead of Chicago Fire, Med & PD return
One Chicago is almost here. Everyone’s favorite television universe is on the cusp of returning, and while some things have changed (more on that later), one thing that’s stayed the same is the level of excitement we all have for what will happen next.
NBC has released the first official teaser for Chicago Med season 8, Fire season 11, and PD season 10, and while nothing too spoiler-heavy gets shown, it’s thrilling to see everyone back in the mix.
When is One Chicago coming back?
The teaser runs a quick fifteen seconds, but we do get glimpses of some look to be some of the most tense moments of the upcoming season. Chicago Fire sees Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) forced to cover a child with her firefighter coat while an explosion goes up in the background.
Kidd seems to be calling the shots in the 51 now, and the promotional image for Fire season 11 bears that out by putting her character front and center.
Med reveals the least, preferring to show standard footage of the characters in action and helping out patients who we are sure to meet over the course of the season. Little is shown regarding the season finale, which saw Dr. Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss) and Dr. Scott (Guy Lockard) trapped inside a burning building, but we do see both men walking around Gaffney, so we can at least confirm that they made it out alive. It looks like we will have to wait until the season 8 premiere to find out the “how” of it all.
PD is in an odd place. The bombshell that Halstead himself, Jesse Lee Soffer, will be leaving the show after the tenth season, just dropped, so one can’t help but watch the PD teaser with that in mind. We see bits and pieces of the character, but the teaser is careful not to hint at his departure, whether it’s going to be through relocation or death.
